Murano Handblown Glass Bead Necklace - FioriDesigner: Mazzega Murano
The famous glass work from the Venetian island of Murano has been created there since 1291. Over the centuries the glass makers have refined and mastered speciality techniques that have allowed them to dazzle the world with pieces that range from breathtaking chandeliers to contemporary wine stoppers. I personally have been obsessed with the history and art that comes from this little island dedicated solely to glass blowing since my first visit to Venice back in 1995.
This exquisite one-of-a-kind necklace that I acquired and carried home after my most recent trip to Italy in January may ignite that same passion in you. This piece will indeed make you swoon. Hundreds of glass bead have been hand strung together to create this whimsical masterpiece of pastel flowers. Simply adorn your little black or white dress with it and a hush will come over any room you walk into. Cierto!
25" long with 10" drop
