The Story

Traditional and dramatic, these stunning silver earrings make a statement. You won't find others like them toooooo! They were handmade by a talented and lovely woman I met in Oaxaca, Mexico named Flor. She brought me to her house to share how she makes the silver molds for all her jewelry designs. She was taught by her parents and is one of 10 children.

Frida Kahlo wore earrings *like* these! Back in the 1930s or 40s Pablo Picasso gifted to Frida a pair of silver hand earrings that were very similar. Enjoy this treasure.

** The first extra picture is of Flor and I at her home and workshop. The second is a picture of Flor giving a demonstration as to how she makes her silver molds using molten silver poured into primitive dirt and oil casts imprinted with the forms of original, vintage molds created by her parents.
