The Story

Curated in Bogota, the artisans who made these earrings do exquisite replicas of jewels and artifacts that are exhibited in Bogota's famous (and very worthwhile) Gold Museum. They are all inspired by different pre-columbian cultures and all are made by Colombian hands.

  • 1.5" L with latch hook closure
  • Carnelian, turquoise, rose quartz Semi-precious stones, 24K double gold plated
  • Handmade with love in Colombia
  • Care instructions: Keep it separate from other accessories, do not bath or sleep in them, keep them out of contact from perfumes, soaps, lotions, etc

*The additional images show 1) the “Balsa Muisca” (el dorado raft) from the Museo de Oro in Bogota made by ancient indigenous goldsmiths and found in a cave in 1969  (one of the most intricate and awe-invoking pieces of art I have ever seen) and 2) a colonial building in La Candelaria, the cobbled historic downtown where I stayed.
